Eindhoven’s station district, covering both the south side of the central station and Fellenoord to the north, is set to transform from a grey office area and mobility hub into a vibrant, green, and liveable urban quarter. It will become a place to live, work, study, travel, and connect – a district that brings together people and generations, with homes, workplaces, culture, leisure, and local amenities.
Station district Knoop XL is positioned as the gateway of Brainport Eindhoven – connecting the city with the region. It links the station with nearby knowledge and high-tech campuses and it connects Eindhoven with the world. With excellent train and bus connections to other major Dutch cities such as Amsterdam and Rotterdam, and soon optimized transfer links to Eindhoven Airport, Düsseldorf, Aachen, Brussels, and Leuven. This will further develop the area into a well-connected urban neighborhood and mixed-use district, reinforcing Brainport Eindhoven’s position as an international gateway.
