One of eight districts in The Hague’s Central Innovation District redevelopment plan. The area is close to the Hollands Spoor railway station, and the project was approved by councillors in spring 2026.

The Laakhavens district, itself divided into four smaller areas, is being transformed into a mixed-use urban area combining homes, workplaces and public facilities next to a major transport hub. As well as new housing, the district will include 55,000 square metres of office space.
