MIX Amsterdam is part of the wider redevelopment of Osdorpplein in Amsterdam New West. The project is built around sustainable design and aims to minimise the environmental impact of construction while improving liveability. A publicly accessible green inner garden will provide space for residents and visitors to meet, while also supporting biodiversity and climate resilience. The apartments themselves will feature sustainable finishes, including energy-efficient kitchens and bathrooms.

The development also adds new facilities to the area. A public bicycle garage beneath the Verhalenhuis art and culture centre will offer space for more than 400 bikes, and 382 new parking spaces will connect directly with the existing Parking Nieuw West. On the ground floor, shops, offices and the Verhalenhuis will provide a mix of amenities that integrate culture, work and daily life into the heart of the new neighbourhood.
